Dallin for Japan - UPDATE 4/4

Dear Dallin Community,
Thank you once again for all your support towards the quake/tsunami victims in Japan. We wanted to update you on how we did this past weekend. On 4/1 we raised $35 on hot drink sale, $25 in raffle and $295.50 in donations. On 4/2, at the Town Election, we raised $287 in raffle and $171 in donations! Your generosity has brought our total amount raised to date to $2,839.67. We’re very close to reaching our goal of $3,000, and we feel we can make it with one last event to go! For our last event, we will finish off with one big bake sale. So, if you’re a baker, please consider baking some of your favorite baked goods for us.

One important note: We had discussed with the PTO regarding the back-to-back bake sales for the up-coming weekend (the Dallin for Japan Bake Sale on 4/8 then the Skating Party Bake Sale on 4/10). To avoid burdening our bakers with duplicated tasks, if you’re planning to drop off your baked goods on Friday morning, please consider splitting between the two events, or better yet, doubling your baked donation to support both Dallin for Japan and Support Dallin efforts! In the unlikely event that we end up with left over goods at the end of our sale on 4/8, they will be donated towards the bake sale on Sunday for the Dallin Skating Party.

On this Friday, 4/08 we will have for the final event:
Donation Box:
1.) We will continue to collect donations, and will have collection box(es) set up near the bake sale.
2.) We accept cash or checks addressed to: U.S. Fund for UNICEF.

Beverage/Bake Sale (new information!):
1.) We will be adding beverage to the sale, including the hot chocolate and tea we had on 4/1. We are also accepting boxed juices to sell, for those who would prefer to donate these items instead of baked goods.
2.) Time: between 2:15-3:15PM, we will set up either on the black top between the school and the playground, or just inside the front entrance, depending on weather.
3.) Baked goods can be dropped off at school during drop off in the morning (please consider supporting the two fundraising events if you’re dropping off goods then) in front of the office, or bring them right to the sale.
4.) Baked goods should be individually wrapped for ease of sales.
5.) If anything contains nuts, please label as such (for safety)
6.) We are accepting all types of goods, so anything you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Raffle:
1.) We have four baskets on display, two geared toward grown-ups, and two toward kids. Please take a look!
2.) Each raffle tickets are $1 each, 6 for $5.
3.) Drawing will take place at the end of the event!

We look forward to seeing you there, and again, thank you so much for your support. It means a lot to us.

Best,
The Dallin for Japan Crew
